Thanks. I look regularly on here as they seem to have vans that fit the bill. We need to change our car to something a little bigger/ more powerful and are planning to have a long weekend away in he spring to check out some options

Chris, it is surprising what you can tow with. What do you have at present?
You will see our 1200kg Triton hitched up to our previous 110bhp 2.0L diesel Yeti and lighter 150 bhp 1.5L petrol Audi A3, both with the same max torque, which is what you need for towing. The Audi pulls the van far better than the Yeti did and returns what have turned out to be identical fuel consumption figures. You need to keep an open mind when you come to choosing a new tow vehicle.

I saw a 2006 triton 430GT for sale in Bedford for just under GBP 10k, looked really, really good. It is on Marketplace

It says 340 but it should read 430. unfortunately I am after a 530, otherwise I would have snapped it
