When I'm not at her majesty's pleasure or changing nappies, I do indulge in a spot of Metal Detecting.
I'm a social history nerd, and member of the National Council for Metal Detecting. Like many other hobbies, just getting 'the gear' isn't quite enough, and any legitimate Detectorist worth their salt requires at least one 'permission', else the back garden gets another going over.
Having recently lost my last permission, I'm now in a bit of a tight spot. I'm not a nighthawk like others, I like to draw up a hard contract with any landowner, any proceeds from finds split equally, and any finds are reported immediately to the local Finds Liason Officer.
If you have any land that does peak your interest, or a friend that maybe has a field or two (or a big garden) then I'd be grateful for the heads up.
Will travel for beeps.
