Electrics

Morning all, we've finally got away for our 1st trip of the season, Chatsworth CMC site. When we 1st hooked up all was fine, but after trying to move the
van with the motor mover and stupidly leaving the handbrake on the bathroom tap and the flush on the loo have decided to have sore throats and make a low roaring noise when working. The lights dim when either are in use which hasn't happened before I have attached a photo of the electric box and wondered if all the switches are correct, they are all up any advice gratefully accepted

Hi Mick, the STOP CIRCUIT switch should be off (down).

I suspect the charger electronics may have developed a fault and could be pushing out too much voltage.

You'll need to check the voltage at the battery terminals with mains hook up connected - it should be about 13.7 volts.

Further problems, when I disconnected the 240v hook up I found that the 12v wasn't working at all. Could a fuse have blown? I gave the fuses near the main box a tug to have a look but they are all very firmly in should they pull out with bit of force?
Looks like a call to a mobile service ☹️

The bottom 15A fuse on the BIP unit is the battery fuse.

Have you checked if it has blown?

No but I will give it a go John, should I be able to pull it out with fingers or do I need pliers? The fuses seem well and truly located

You might need a pair of pliers as there's not much room to grip the lower fuse.
