Kampa 260/290 Popair Awning or Similar

Hi everyone, can anyone advise if they use a 260 awning instead of the recommended 290. Just bought an Eriba Familia and are now looking for an awning. As it’s just the two of us, wondering if there are any issues using a 260 on a 290 rail or is it just a case of foregoing a bit of space inside.

Any info appreciated.

Thanks, John

John, the 260 is designed for the Puck. It is not tall enough. If you want something of a similar size and half the cost you could look at the Vango Siesta. Vango Siesta Review [Elwood is the same but in blue]
We use one of these for short stays and a Kampa Pop Air for when on site longer.

I’m sure I’m not the only one but after a bit of research we have taken the plunge and bought a Vango Agora Air awning for the Eriba. We realise it’s a drive away camper van awning, but in all honesty can’t see why it won’t work for us. Picking up a bit of skirt to stop the draugt from under the van and have some floor covering for the tunnel. Fingers crossed all will go to plan when we take it on our first outing at Easter.

Don't forget to add some photos so we can all see. You may want to get a cheap step as it's easier than cutting a slot correctly in an awning skirt.

Hi Colin,

As promised, a few pictures of the awning. Couldn’t have asked for better weather over Easter to take Edna out on her maiden voyage, brilliant return to the great outdoors. .

Cheers, John

That does look nice. Decent amount of space, tunnel not baggy and fit to van looks OK.
