At the moment there is a discussion going on on Eribafolk Facebook in answer to this question:-
Hi can I ask do people fill up their toilets in their caravan before they travel or when they arrive at destination? thanks
I just had to share this comment made by :-

Few years ago, I arranged to meet my husband on the M1, he was driving the camper and I the Car. It was a blistering hot day. He topped up the Portable Lavatory with Elsan or similar before he embarked. Anyway, it was dark, I pulled in at the services drove toward the Camper, and was mesmerised by a Holda Goldwing with Flashing Lights playing Christmas Carols really loud and the straddled rider trying to look cool. I thought, Hans would be amused by that and wondered why there was no sign of him so knocked on the door - - " hey, you see this Goldwing ?, its bonkers' - - and he yelled - "wait a f..... minute , just wait a f..... minute, ffs sake !" . The door finally slowly opened and there he stood, a look of total shock on his face, plastered in Bright Blue toilet dooins from head to foot. Seems like he'd lifted the lid, pulled the trap which was pressurised, there was an almighty bang and the contents of the crapper exploded all over him. Why, ? - Dunno, combination of the the Knackered suspension jiggling the Lavatory coupled with extreme heat didn't make for a good combination. With the nutty scenario of the Honda Goldwing, Music blaring out, Bright Blue flashing lights, and Hans, same colour standing in the doorway looking like a bedraggled mad man, I honestly couldn't stand for laughing. Thats the long answer, The short one is, not any more. LLL

Sounds like it might be one of the US pressurised type toilets, not the Thetty cassette type fitted to Tourings. BTW Thetford advice is not to run with a filled toilet flush water tank. Having some green/blue toilet fluid and a small amount of water in the cassette isn't a risk though. Indeed the cassette has an automatic pressure relief valve on top, just in case any pressure does build up.

Reminds me of the lads drinking too much beer at the back of a coach beano. Their bucket was full and the driver wouldn't stop on the motorway. So one bright spark found a hatch in the floor over the rear axle and poured the contents out there. You can imagine what the backdraft did then.
