All of this is assuming you can get a signal. We have full 4G on this CL due I think to a Coast watch Station a few hundred yards away. Previous site, also a CL in rural Devon no signal whatsoever, nothing, nada 🤔

As others have said, yes, you can watch/listen via your phone, however that does mean internet access plus, for me, an extra (bluetooth probably) speaker as i can't stand the quality of sound via a built-in phone speaker for long (and it's not bad on my iPhone 13 pro). Or I can use headphones, which annoys my other half... All built into one good little unit - and the Pure Mini is little - is a good option for us.

Ok like i said at the beginning i was on a cl site i use & there's no phone signal & with my Avtex tv aerial i couldn't get anything hence i wondered if i had a chance with a radio be it old school or dab.
The aerial on my old iphone6s isn't up to much, its such a shame they don't have an aerial jack to plug a simple little aerial with out paying 500 +for a fancy aerial/router system & a permanent sim card charge for the few days a year that i can get away otherwise id link my ipad to the phone & have my classic fm etc on that buts they want to make money! and a standard phone aerial will do for the masses!

It is possible to listen to radio (FM and AM) using a smartphone without having phone or internet access.

Some radio apps use the headphone wires as an aerial - to receive "airborne" radio signals - the old fashioned way lol

Just sayin !

The "old fashioned way" using the headphone wires is perfect for me but you can't connect to a bluetooth speaker at the same time to listen.
