Which motor mover brand to go for? (Troll)

OK putting my hands up....I've not got a clue about motor movers except for what they actually do.

I need to fit one to our new 2014 Troll because our home parking spot is a proper mare to reverse into.

Any certain brand to go for? I see Reich movers being fitted to a lot of Eribas.

Can you DIY fit them or do you really need to take the van to a specialised installer?

Where do most peeps have their leisure battery fitted in the van?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice given.

Neil

Neil,
if you have a UK van then it will usually have a battery already.
Reich Movers are probably the most commonly fitted, with Power touch also being a frequent fit. Any mover will require specialist brackets and these two would seem to have them most readily available. You do not need an auto engage, in fact I deliberately steered myself away from one due to cost and I thought it was something else to go wrong.
You can fit yourself, but I'd advise looking up Midland Motor Mover as they are a well used company, with a good track record on Eribas. I think you will realise for what they charge to fit it is not worth the hastle.

Thanks Colin, it’s a Swiss import so no leisure battery onboard. I’ll get in touch with Midland for a costing and bear in mind what your saying about the auto engage 👍🏻
