We have joined this forum over a month ago, so it most certainly a time for an introduction. We have a Familia 320GT and we tow it all over Europe and England with our Jaguar XF Sportbrake (2.2 200bhp). We have had our Eriba since March 2019 and we love it! 20210904_171353.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)

I can't get over all the penguins on the roofs of the apartments in the background.
Do they have some kind of penguin ladder to get up and down?
I'm sure I'm right in thinking that penguins can't fly.

Good morning,
Thanks for making us feel welcome, we live in Sheffield and we totally adore our Eriba, the Jag does make it easy to tow. We look forward to being a part of this forum. We have already benefitted massively from reading previous posts when we first bought our Eriba, and only in the last few days did we get the courage to sign up. This forum has been a massive helps with regards to the Romoska, the Winterhooff hitch and the correct tyre pressures too. We will hopefully next year be trading up to a 430GT - my only slight concern is towing a larger caravan then the 320GT, when we are in Europe, we often head for the mountains, and driving to the Pyrenees a few years ago we didn't really notice the additional length of the caravan behind the car on the mountain roads - any advice from 430GT owners would be most welcome before we do finally decide to trade up.
Thanks so much all,
Kenny

Kenny, we currently tow a Triton, having previously towed a Famila. You do not need to worry. In fact we went Triton, Troll, Familia, Triton. If anything I have found the larger vans easier to tow as they sit better on the road and you can feel them. They are definitely easier to reverse. My advice would be if your storage space can take a Troll then consider one, as your car is certainly up to the job.

We have a Triton 430Gt - same era as yours, judging by the red and blue stripes. It's our third Triton and we take it anywhere - the biggest challenge is always the ferry ramps... I would, ideally, like a Troll 530, but a 430 Triton is hard to beat for flexibility.

We had a 430 and towed with a Citroen C4 1.6 d, we took the van over the Pyrenees several times and even over the Atlas mountains with no problem.

Good morning all, we made the switch on Monday to a lovely and immaculate 430GT a 2006 model which looks pretty much brand new and it is a credit to its previous owner - I wonder if they are on this forum? We have called our new 430GT Edwardo the Eriba! We towed him back home from Poole (from Leisure First) with Jacques Le Jag and as EribaMotters said in their post above, it seemed to tow much smoother and easier then the 320GT we had previously. We are excited for our first trip away to North Wales in Edwardo the Eriba!

We have a Triton 430. Last summer we went to the Haute Savoie and Yann said it wasn't any bother towing. It was our first trip to the mountains with "Betty".

Thanks everyone, we can't wait for our first adventure with Edwardo the Eriba next month to North Wales - we have been moving all of our stuff into him. We just hope that Leisure First find a nice new owner for Enrique our previous Familia 320GT!
I will post some photos of Edwardo this weekend!
See you all on the roads!
