I’ll take some pics of the pole I use/made to hang the side tomorrow and post some more details.

Ok some details! Made a pole from some curtain pipe with a joint in the middle (see pic). I’m sure you could get some tent pole too. Then got some material from Point North in Cheshire who were very helpful. A local seamstress put it together from my plans which were ‘design-and-build’ type (if you see what I mean!) fitted some 1/2” brass eyelets so that I could secure it to the Thule upright and some elastic ladder ground anchors for pegging it to the ground. This looks like a great idea! We were trying to work out how to get a little bit of shelter without using an awning, so this would be fab
