How refreshing it is for a company to take their product seriously. We have just purchased a tailor-made cover for our Puck. We ordered it at the Caravan Show last Wednesday and explained that we needed it urgently, and it arrived this Wednesday. Very impressive.

Tony, how about naming the company?

My dealer advised against covers.....said they could scratch windows etc. He recommended just keeping it clean. Welcome your thoughts please.

We’ve had our Troll just 3 years now and it’s been washed, polished and generally cosseted during that time. However, while polishing the roof last September, I noticed that there were the first signs of moss shoots growing in the sealant around the awning rail along the bit where the van drains. (We have a slight slope on our storage area side to side, so the rear near side always acts as the drain.)
I was surprised and shocked that moss was encroaching in such a short time and I took action to remove the offending greenery and resell the gutter.

We bought a used winter cover just as we collected the van - it was for a Troll, but for the older models with the lower roof. The result of the mismatch was a nice, snug fit so there was no flapping. This has worked well, but was showing signs of age so it’s been replaced now with a Kampa cover.
Mrs Gadget and I have cut down the old cover and we’re going to use it as a roof cover, elasticated and strapped just below the gutter. If there’s no light, then there will be no moss (or bird contributions either.)
I would recommend a cover to anyone who can’t store their van in the dry (I would love to get it in a garage or under a roof.); the trick is to wash and polish first, then make sure the cover is nice and snug.

Protec has moved to a new manufacturing facility and temporarily suspended production of covers for older Eribas until they can get production up to full speed. Are there any other covers of similar quality available? My old cover which was a "universal cover" for small caravans has shredded and I desperately need a replacement. Ideal covers in France have an inexpensive fitted cover that I have ordered to replace my old one with until Protec starts making them again.

Whilst nothing bespoke/model specific is available, would an old school VW vamper van cover do the job? https://ukcampingandleisure.co.uk/produc...9hoC1kcQAvD_BwE

Received the Ideal cover in the mail late this afternoon - very quick service from France to the southeastern USA. First impression is favorable - will test fit it tomorrow morning. Cost was very reasonable as well even including shipping of 90 Euros - the whole cost was 231 Euros.delivered.

Jack, can you please post a link to the company. UK owners may be able to order, but post Brexit it may be a problem as some companies will no longer ship to the UK.
