I can report that we’ve tested the modification fully on a weekend away in cold and frosty Wiltshire. All is working great. The AGM 100Ah battery supplies all 12V systems and is kept in float mode fully charged by the Ctek running off 230V. The old BIP electronics (battery sensing and charging) is redundant.

It's always good when you can successfully upgrade the electrics to keep things going ;)

I am sure when I goto Solar input, I'll be running the cables seperate to my onboard electrics on the Eriba to keep things from being complicated.

I have used the CTEK chargers for many years and they are reliable and competent and can be left 'maintaining' batteries over longer periods ;)
