Did anybody else have a young grandchild staying over X-Mas?

We decided on a small tree this year. Our son and his partner with their 14 month old son came to stay for a few days. The tree did not fare well. It lost the fight.

We had a 12 month old wrecker on board too. He left on Boxing Day but was back again for yesterday and today. Hard work but they bring sunshine into the house. He's currently leading his Grandma a merry dance. On the point of walking but far quicker across the floor on his hands and knees.
We've also got an 11 month old but he stayed with his Mum and Dad.

That takes me back

Happily our one and only grandchild is 14 going on 21 and seemingly permanently grafted to one of his five guitars, even when he visits us. We had tales of his his other great love, a young lady called Sophie but he was happy to join us old guns in several tense late evening games of triominoes.

Quite civilised

Ours are past that stage sadly too but the game of choice in our house is Mexican Train 🚂
