The recall isn't relevant to the original van but if a replacement is a used item it might be.

The OP said the van is 2005 to 2012 (probably 2008) and. the recall is for product after October 2020.

I must admit the years mentioned as a possible age of van seemed odd to me. 2005 to 2009 vans will be labelled as made in France and 2010 to 2012 will be labelled made in Germany. Post 2010 vans will have the higher awning rail and doorway with the less bulbous roof, plus a washroom with swivel toilet, not the bench type of earlier vans. 2008 vans are unique as they're the only year that had the dark walnut strip on the roof lockers.
