Fixed mattress over the winter?

Hi All - sad to say I am not too far away from putting my Eriba in storage for the winter. I now have a fixed mattress in my current Triton 430. In my last Triton the bed was made up from the dinette cushions. When winterising this one, I left the cushions stood on end inside the van. This allowed air to get round them and 3 or 4 moisture traps meant that I never had any damp/mould issues.

If you have a fixed mattress, do you just leave it place over the winter, remove it completely or stand it on its side within the van? Any advice would be most welcome.

You would be advised to move it away from the sides of the van. You do not need to lift it out onto the [cold] floor, you could just push some empty plastic bottles between it and the sides of the caravan.
