Hi,

I'm considering getting a motor mover for my Triton 430 GT 2005.

Does anyone have any recommendations inc costs please ?

Are they powerful enough too go up a slight hill ? my drive is on a slight slope so I'm looking for it to go off the road, over a dropped kerb and then onto the drive.

Are they easy to navigate ?

Has anyone had a refurbished one fitted ? There is place not too far from me that do reconidrioned ones fitted for 499 with a 12 month warranty.

Thanks

Rob

Rob, the mover will do all you require of it. Going re-furb may not work out as cheap as you think as you will need specific brackets designed to fit the unusual Eriba chassis. Reich and Powertouch are probably the most frequently fitted and I would have a look at https://www.caravanmoversonline.co.uk/index.html and https://www.midlandmotormovers.co.uk/. I think Midland probably know the most about fitting to Eribas, but it would be a close thing and you would get good service from them both.

hi Rob

We have a Reich mover on our Troll and it moves the van off the road up a slight incline and onto our drive, so you shouldn't have any problems with your Triton.

It has only let us down once when I foolishly tried to use it to move to a better pitch on Southport C & M C site and the distance was too far. No problem as we simply quickly disengaged it and pulled it the last few yards

Sometimes on hardstandings with deep & loose gravel we have to give it a bit of a gentle push to help it along. This hasn't happened since we changed our jockey wheel for the Kartt Ultimate one with the wider wheel.

Good luck

It changes our lives with our Triton 430. Up hills, over difficult surfaces..... just brilliant.

We have a Reich mover on our Triton 430Gt and it is excellent. All I added was an arrow on the remote control to point towards the front of the unit. This now saves me from turning the caravan in the wrong direction at a critical moment... Yes, I whacked my car. Doh!!
