LED replacement capsules.

Hi everyone. RE; ERIBA Puck 230 GT. Where is the best place to get LED replacement 12volt, 2 pin type capsules. One of the original capsules has given up after 18 years of (not continuous) use. It is of the old filament type which gives out a bit of heat hence the hoped for change-over to LED.
Thanks in anticipation.
David.

Welcome to the forum. Many owners have swapped over the halogen bulbs for led's. If you use the forum search facility you should find lots of information. From memory when I swapped mine over about 14 years ago the common problem was the physical size of the replacement. I sourced mine through e-bay. The led's tend to be larger, so measure carefully. On many you can nip the leg lengths down so this may help. You need about 1.5w led to replace the 10w halogen. Do not be tempted to buy cheap as some led's are polarity sensitive and others just cheap. You will probably have to make sure your battery is in good order as the led's really need to run through this instead of feeding directly off a transformer set-up. If not then they can flicker if you only have one or two lights on.

I have refitted all my interior bulbs with LED on my 2005 Triton - plus the awning light. I found that some LED bulbs were just too big for the holders -and some failed really quickly - so I experimented a fair bit. I ended up using Ring auto LED bulbs where I could, because they are really reliable and tolerant of vibration and temperature variations - and I like 4000K colour temperature, which they offer. I also bought a pack of small format capsule bulbs from Amazon - and they have lasted well too (see attached photo).

Thank you Poppy. I have noted what worked for you and will look into it. It is lovely that people on the Eriba Folk website are so eager to share their knowledge and experience. It makes the world seem somewhat better.
I appreciate your reply.

David.
