Thanks everyone for all the lovely posts. I haven't been on for the last couple of days. Had a good day on the day then sadly yesterday I spent most of the day at A & E with my parents. Dad is 88, Mum is 84, they were out shopping in the village, somehow Dad misjudged the kerb and fell tipping Mum out of her wheelchair. Dad ended up with a banged up knee and Mum with pain in her neck and back so they immobilised her. At A & E they played safe, well they have to, and kept her immobilised for 6 hours. Difficult as she has dementia so we had to keep telling her why she had the painful collar and head restraint on. Finally got them both home at about 10.45 last night so I was far too kn******d to go online.
Anyway hopefully not too many weeks before we are hitching up again and heading off the south of Spain to visit friends and get some winter sun.

Thanks Graham and Roger for your kind wishes. Mum has already forgotten the accident (the up side of dementia) and Dad has a few aches and pains so no lasting damage thankfully.

Haven't read that one. I'll look it up in the library or get technically minded daughter to get it on the Kindle if it's available. Didn't see it on TV either but Thora Hird was always good.
