Money well spent...

Over the years our Clairval Awning has performed well. It's easy to erect and withstands the worst of the weather. However, some of the pole end fittings are the worse for wear so we've decided to change them.
Like many other traditional awnings, the pole end fittings are standard "Isabella Awning" parts. However, they don't appear to do the fittings in beige anymore, only in army dark green.
Three days ago we ordered 4 new bayonet joints and 3 vertical pole bottom fittings with spikes for a total cost including VAT and delivery of £14.41 from these people:- http://www.penrosetouring.co.uk/acatalog...ccessories.html

They arrived this morning and we are quite pleased with the service although they didn't Email us with a delivery date.
To get the old ends off, we used a length of bamboo down the hollow end of the pipe and banged the end of the bamboo on the ground.
