Do all Eribas have toilets?!

HI all,

I'm a newbie so a) go gentle on me & b) please excuse the banality of my question!

I'm absolutely dead set on getting an Eriba. One thing I can't live without, however, is a toilet on board (!). I've been told by a friend - albeit a non owner herself - that all variants come with a toilet. Is this true? I'm pretty sure she's not right...

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Cheers, Hedge

Hi Hedge and welcome to Eribafolk. Don't worry about asking questions. There'll always be someone who will try to help.

Eribas with toilet/washrooms. You are quite right. Not all come with toilet/washrooms. The smallest one that does is the Familia 320 g15p94-Familia.html
If you look at the layout link above you'll see the diagram of the washroom on the top right.
The 320 is the only Famila with a washroom.
In the Triton range, you'll be looking at a 420 and 430.
In the Troll it's the 530 and any number above that.
Some Eribelles and Futures also come with washrooms but not all (see layout drawings for more information).
Hope that helps.
By the way, although Eriba classify them as washrooms they are only big enough for a "lick and a promise". You'd be hard pushed to shower in one. The toilets are OK though.
Many folk who own non-toilet facility vans often carry a small porta potti.

Depends what you mean by toilet.

There are those that have washrooms, which include a toilet and washbasin. On most of that sort the toilet is of the Thetford bench variety, although for a few years recently Eriba switched to a Thetford swivel toilet. Happily they've now switched back.

Those without a washroom can have accomodate a Porta Potti, but it's not the same as having a dedicated 'roo'm.

Note I did not refer to the Eriba washroom as a shower room because although a number are fitted out with a shower hose/tap and a shower curtain, in reality unless you are v small and happy to risk the water affecting the washroom furniture it's best no to shower in an Eriba.

Oh and for a few years certain Troll models could be specced with a 'folding washroom'. Quite what this qactually looked like and how it worked is a mystery to me as I've never actually come across one.

Worth thinking that if you only intend using regular caravan sites they would all have good shower/toilet blocks so, unless one had mobility problems maybe you would not need one on board?
Case of space or convenience.

We use a porta potty only for night time vists! (Kampa Khazi -about £20 with seat, lid and lid for bucket + cover for the daytime) We leave it in the awning and is perfectly adequate! At first, I like you, thought I would not be able to live without a built in loo but if you have an awning - no problems!! If you don't want to she'l out hundreds of pounds for an awning to house this throne see the link "cheap awning for a puck". I have made this, added mud skirt and its perfect and all for under £100 - plus a little sewing time! Totally chuffed with it and have had shocked comments by people that have paid £500 and up!!!
