This would be of slight interest to LOU only by his recent Warwick visit. We were there back in August on a journey up North to visit rellies and friends and while exploring the city including the castle, we lunched in Wetherspoons in the market square. As I am always on the look out for decent arty subjects, I took a snap shot in the pub of two regulars.
I sketched them too and added the colour when back in the caravan from memory and notes. I decided to do an oil of them, and found a failed figures study (clothed) to paint over. If it works and you buy it, you get a BOGOF!
Anyway here is the combined photo of the snapshot, sketch and the figure study and then the latest stage of the painting.
