Here is an informative video for some checks that you can carry out whilst your Eriba is laid up over winter.

EEEk standing on the roof, he should have at least put a board to distribute the weight!

After the unseasonably warm weather we have been having the forecasters are now warning of a cold snap so a good time to check all the water has been removed from vans stored where they might freeze.

Places to check,
Under the sink water container.
Bathroom washbasin container (if you have one)
Toilet flush tank (if you have one)
Water heater (if you have one)
Toilet cassette (if you have one)

Also remember to leave all taps in the open position (disconnect the battery if needed) this allows any water in the line to drain out rather than freeze in the pipes.
Most will already have done this but hopefully this will be a reminder to new members

Good tips, Neville! I've already done mine.

When John E modified my BIP unit he converted a redundant switch to allow me to isolate the taps so that I can leave the battery in place on trickle charge throughout the winter.

I blow my taps out and heater etc. using the rubber tap adaptor and 15mm clear pvc pipe.
Don't try and fit the adaptor to the pipe, just hold it firmly enough to make a seal over the
circular spout adaptor and blow down the pipe after opening the drain cocks.
