Guedelon Castle France.

Earlier this year, Christophe (forumeribatouring) shared details of a 25 year project that is taking place to build this castle using 13th Century technology. The project is open to the public. http://www.guedelon.fr/en/
I've noticed that tonight on BBC 2 ( 9pm ) there starts a five part documentary on the build which might be interesting to watch.

Yes, we've got it down on our "must do" list. Can you get British TV in Eyemouthiers, Brian?
Had an interesting exchange of PM's on Facebook with Christophe earlier. He visited the project back in 2004.

So, did anybody manage to catch this programme. I though parts of it were quite fascinating. I particularly liked the reference to pot holes.

Watched the final episode of this fabulous programme last night. Really enjoyed all 5 episodes. I decided to record them before the series started and I'm really glad I did.
Luckily our replacement DVD recorder "yapper" arrived just in time. The old one fell apart last week and I don't know if they're all the same, but our DVD recorder doesn't have enough control buttons to perform all the functions the yapper is able to do.
Must try and visit the Guedelon Castle project one day.
