Hi everyone, has anyone had a alteration made to their awning? Have a Walker awning for a 2013 Troll but am downsizing to a new Triton & wondered if anyone has had successful alterations made to make their awning smaller.

Hi, I don't know any particular awning alterers but there are adverts in the back of the various magazines.
However the change from 2013 Troll to new Triton, as far as the awning is concerned, is only in one dimension 'cos the height and depth are the same.

Hiya Frantone, I've seen some ads but can't make my mind up whether to risk an alteration or to just buy one to fit & sell mine. Think maybe I should give a couple a call & see what it's likely to cost.

I think I would be inclined to buy one and sell the other. Any alteration to the Troll awning has to be a potential weak or leak area, in my opinion.

Will you not have to alter the frame as well. Shaun Niki and Fonzie.

Hiya Dogwalkers, thought about that, the frame has plenty of adjustment so don't think it would pose a problem, having second thoughts now so not done anything about it yet

We had an awning altered by Trio Pair in Pontefract. They advertise in the CC mag. Website is www.triopair.com. They had to make ours larger and did an excellent job. We supplied drawings and they did it from that. Very reasonable price too. Hope that helps.

I have had several tent/awnings altered by Tent Valeting Services in Bolton (Near Manchester), including making a cabanon toilet tent into a small porch awning- they fitted a gusset so it lies flush to the eriba. An excellent company, both in price, service and quality of work.

Thanks for your suggestions, appreciated. I couldn't bring myself to risk the alteration so I've bought another awning. So I will be putting an advert on soon to sell my Walker.

Hi Peter Pan, I'v been wondering if I could remodel one of our awnings/tents and came across this thread, your remodeled awning sounds just right for weekends away. Do you have a photo you could show us please?
