I like using my laptop as much as anyone but when I'm away the last thing I want to do is trawl the net unless I'm in a pub or bar with free wifi
OK in the UK I have my data allowance on my phone if I really want to check something but abroad I can do without for a few weeks if necessary. Surprisingly if someone really wanted me urgently they might decide to make a phone call.

Just changed to BT for my internet,
access to BT wi fi is included in the package, handy in my travels if there is a hotspot anywhere nearby.
