HI Christine, think you were asking me what I am getting. I am going to be collecting a 2008 420GT in May. Like you I am completely new to caravanning and sometimes I will be going it alone with my dog as company but it's all so exciting. Until I am more confident with it all I will just not drive to far away for my first outing.

Hi Christine, you're correct we do have the same van. The only difference between the 225L and the 230L is the kitchen layout, the rest of the van is identical. If you look on the Forum Blog you will see my long winded account of living in our Eriba for 3 months. We had a camping shower set up in a utility tent and the porta loo in the shed! When we are away though we have only ever used sites with facilities. The night time walk to the toilet can be a bit of a pain although we haven't let it stop us. We have had two 6 week breaks on the continent this year. We are beginning to think of taking the porta loo with us (age driven) and setting it up in the awning. With the curtains drawn no-one would know. There is plenty of storage in the van, we haven't struggled at all, in fact we had owned the van for 6 months before we found some extra storage coming off the wardrobe. The PuckL is very popular, there are quite a few on this Forum with them, I think I'm correct in saying it's the biggest bed.
I'm not very technical, either with the van or the Forum, but if you want any help just ask.
Julie.

Hi Taffy...... counting down the days now no doubt! Not sure if its a good or bad thing, but i am now considering a dog!! It wasn't part of the plan, but......!!!! I have fallen for a little well behaved mongrel who lives with a poorly old lady ..... the dog gave me a very loving look when i met her ...... that was it, i was love struck!!! We will see.... Hope all goes well with your van.

Thanks for your message Julie...... and the offer of help. I am tending not to know when i have messages sent .... not sure if this is usual. With facebook etc you get email notifications?
Re the van, i must admit i will be using a porta loo. If in the van on my own, it wont be a problem ..... will have to think of alternatives like you if i have company .....
Am hoping to get the van out this month ....... then i am sure there will be questions! Thank you,
Christine
