....greeted us this morning when I took the covers off.

Clean, all systems going, gas fridge, power, taps, battery charged, no damp, no condensation, no net deteriation

Ready for a trip to AL tomorrow for a full service and some new gear, a Reich mover.

Carole will be driving and although she said she is worried, she will be OK. If she can tow round a quarter of the Paris peripherique? Poole - pah!

In Poole less than an hour from home and well received by the likely lads there. Aim to collect on Friday because Carole and my committments next 2 days.

Her grand plan today after getting to AL was get a little fresh air on the front and then go to Chez Fred's for fish and chips. If you haven't tried it, it's in Westbourne, they are smashing and very good value. Anyway as she was driving and I daren't interfere and thinking she knew the roads back to B'Mouth, we didn't.

Hopelessly lost until I unearthed the satnav. It took us more time to get about 5 miles than the trip from home, mostly traffic and being in the wrong place.

I had the full works and she had the Haddock al la carte and including a glass of wine, the bill was £20, value? I'll say.

I can agree with 'hampshiremans' comment on Chez Fred's fish and chips.....
They are just a short walk from us here at Alum Chine and we often drop by for a tasty bite,,,......

Thanks Trev or Angie. We got there much earlier than planned, Carole had enough aimless driving and had aimed for some sea air.

However it was funny but appropriate that it was filled with "oldies" just like us, who must all eat that early, which we don't, but Fred was doing good business in there and I met his wife and chatted about fish and chip restaurants as I was born in one..

Hi, We too are at AL next week having our mover fitted...hopefully. They have never done a 'Future' so its gonna be a 'suck it and see'. Also agree with Chez Freds for fish and chips. We live just down the road but some folks come a long way for a meal there, there is always a queue outside of an evening.
Hope the mover makes life a lot easier for you both. Chris and Keith

Oh good to hear from you and good luck with the FUTURE. When we bought our Puck L we were told by Ian the nice chap who acted on sales then that a mover couldn't be fitted to it 'cos it was too low.

Yes looking forward to using it but think it will be some time yet until I am up and about properly.
