The weather was fine, we had a free day and being retired we said lets have a day out.

I suggested not too far, Warsash or Hamble, that seemed OK. Then she suggested that bloody great warship from acrosss the pond is polluting our near waters. I had to agree Carole drives, but instead of the place I checked out, she decided better and went all the way to Southsea.

" I see no ships" came the cry.

We drove all the way back and got stuck in horrendous traffic, wonder why. Finally after 90 mins and Carole's moans we got to the very very very crowded shoreline at Stokes Bay and couldn't park. Wonder why.

We carried on to Lee on the Solent and got parked and had our picnic, I had a rest, did some sketching, Carole wandered and then we got home, wondering why.

I poured her two glasses of white wine as she cooked and after a very pleasant meal, from ALDI's yesterday, Carole is now watching Masterchef and I am here.
