Our puck didn't come with a battery so I assume it never had one, as I can't find any reference to one by the fuse box (BIP?) Is it possible to plumb one in to the fuse box in some way? I assume that there must be a way of feeding a battery charger from the fuse box that in tunr could charge/trickle charge a leisure battery. I'm not suggesting that I could carry this out but wondered if it is possible!

I had 2 wires that appeared from somewhere? under the right hand seat that worked the 12v lights and water pump in my 89 puck so I was able to add a self contained ....battery and fuse box and bought a charger that just plugged into a 13 amp socket............think it was a ctec charger.

You used to be able to buy a charger in a box with space for a battery in it, had cigarette socket input / output as well as crocodile clips, can't for the life of me think what they are / were called, despite having had one handy in their day

No not really, I think they may have been named TP/1 & TP/2 what the difference was I can't remember, but they were for transporting in your car (boot?) and providing portable power on site, it was a long time ago, but would think something similar still exists

We had a gel leisure battery (not big, ugly, liquidy or gassy) fitted to our Puck, it sits in a box under the seat at the front on the same side as the consumer unit/fuse box etc - we use it to power the fridge from the car whilst on the move & the 12v lights & water pump when stopped.
The difficult bit is remembering to switch off the fridge when stopping during the day so the battery isn't drained when parking up at night!!! Guaranteed way of really irritating yourself!!!

That sounds like a really good simple system. Might it be possible to add a timer into the fridge part so that you could set it for the estimated journey time thus avoiding the forgetful part? TonyP
