Jason no longer at Automotive Leisure

I sent a couple of emails to Jason on Friday and Saturday regarding when my Triton would be ready and didn't receive a reply, so I phoned this morning and Cameron tells me Jason no longer works for A L. I was somewhat surprised because I was under the impression it was his business but it appears not. Cameron says they are in the process of letting all his customers know he is no longer there.

The good news was my van should be arriving next Tuesday.

Wow, we only saw him last Tuesday as we popped in on our way to Devon as we had a problem with the tow hitch again. He was chatty and told us where they were moving to etc. in September. He also said they were employing another person to help with the workload!!. Nigel fixed our problem by changing the pads and all the work was done FOC as it was only fitted last year. We actually thought the service given was such an improvement since last there.......

Hmm! interesting but wonder why.
Could be Steve hearing the bad reports on his service attitude, or maybe Jason just peed off with client nags and can't handle it but that's part of the business and Eriba owners are no worse than others I am sure..

Agreed, since they enlarged the biz.

Well that's news. Can anyone update me further? So who does own the business? And where are they moving to in September?

When we were there late June we asked Cameron where they were moving to and he said just about 10 minutes away. More space for display, less like a workshop and a better customer experience (his words!). I'm guessing more akin to a car showroom perhaps.

By what we found out last week, we were told it 'was near Matalan'. Matalan is on Ringwood Road near Wallisdown Road in Bournemouth. If you Google earth and put in postcode BH11 8LH, you will be in the general area. The work shop will be much larger and was told there will be an area set aside now for stock.

I phoned up yesterday. A new chap called Phil dealt with my enquiry, and he was very polite and helpful.

The new chap mentioned in #12 above is Phil Lewis. He has the title - Service and Parts Manager. He is new to Eriba's so when dealing with him be a little easy on him as he grows into the job. He's a very nice guy and believe he will be a great asset to AL.

I dealt with Mr Lewis on Tuesday/Wednesday about a very small, inexpensive but hard-to-find spare part. He was pleasant, helpful and responsive; the part arrived this morning as promised. I'm not suggesting that wouldn't have been the case before, but for me at any rate he's made a good start.
