I see there are three or four people in the forum chat,
do you have to be invited?or am I technologically inept?

Two at a time what Rod?

Private Chats can only be two at a time, but ordinary Chat can be as many as fit on the site.

I gave you a call on the Chat line, Rod, but got no reply back even though it shows you as being online. If you must go and spend ten minutes in the loo at least sign off first.
