That's right and we've been looking for our first eriba since then, so glad we finally got one, debating now whether to keep our campervan now?

Guess that will depend on how many births you will need and its towing capacity?

Yeah we would need to put a towbar on our autosleeper Duetto, and it would make it a big outfit with a caravan in tow, where as the Misubishi pinin tows the eriba well and works well, after all it's mainly just the two of us.

Our daughter giving the thumbs up on our new eriba, shortly after I christened it by giving an eriba kiss, "supprising how many circling birds you can fit in a eriba Triton 410 lol"

We don't seem to have one on ours, does any one know if they all came with them? There is a troll 510 for sale through Automotive leisure Poole that doesn't seem to have a fold out step either?

We didn't have one on ours either. Some folk have said they are dangerous.

I think they were on the options list. Any idea why they might be considered to be dangerous?

I suppose if they weren't fully stowed they would stick out and could come into contact with things that were very close to the caravan.

Making sure that the step is folded is item #16 on my 'Pre-departure checklist'

EDIT: Just measured it and unfolded step projects 81/2" (215mm) approx. beyond the wheelarch so I suppose it could act like Boudicca's chariot wheel in an accident and scythe legs off an unfortunate pedestrian or cyclist.

Built in steps were not always a fitment, my 89 puck never had one my 06 triton does I wonder if it was part of the revamp when internal gas lockers were first fitted?

That looks a cracking triton.

I have always mistrusted the fold out step since one decided to flip into the stowed position as I went to step onto it on the way out of the van. My foot went between the step and the frame causing me to fall massively! If I had been sober I may have hurt myself.

Great looking Eriba - well done :) Incidentally my 2001 Puck L, with external gas locker, does not have a folding step either !

It's confusing isn't it, I thought that the external gas lockers were on early models I.e. 80s, 90s etc but they extend through into the 2000.
