Looks like one is leaking so its time for a new set. Looking for a model and number ? Alko Green Octagonals came up in Google but they're only listed for newish vans, mine's an '86. Going to take one off thismorning and look for code numbers. Was wondering if anyone's bought some recently?

The Drawbar repair was all good on last weekends 500 ml run to Anglesea Race Track and then back to Marlow. I put the 600supersport in the back of the T4 and towed the Pan. It was a bit slow on the hills (only 70ish hp) but there and back without dripping any engine oil, ( it had been pouring out! ), following some engine maintenance; new seals and gaskets, + belts, camshaft, tappets, and a vacuum pump.

A couple of 19mm locnuts and it's off. There is no damping action left in this one! It's dimensions are 34cm max and 23.5cm min, which doesn't exactly match the Alko Green shock which goes from 39cm to a min of 27cm. The shock that's still on the van is currently at 28cm so is the Alko green going to offer enough compression travel?

Had another look at the shock set up, and can see that during compression of the torsion rubber the Shock is extending so these Green ones should be ok. Halfords sell them....but don't actually stock them, lead time is 2 1/2 weeks! so will get them of ebay, next day delivery.
