smart job

am just wondering what wd stands for and is it something different to a smart telly, what are the benefits / difference?

is the wd media player is similar idea to a kindle book reader load books on to read,
load dvd on to watch on the wd media player to watch like a video player, if so seems like a great idea
cant keep up with this technology

WD stands for Western Digital.

The WDTV is far superior to a Avtex engine to play things. The WDTV will practically play any file you put through it.
With the hard drive attached you can put anything on it. MP3's, photo's DVDs, Blurays or home movies and it will push it to the TV Screen on the Avtex.
Putting the DVDs on the hard drive can take some time, though when its done its done.
Ive well over 100 DVDs on the drive now.
