Hi, I'm brand new to Eriba caravaning, in fact any caravaning. A friend directed me to this site as somewhere to ask questions and learn. I purchased the Eriba Puck because it seemed manageable on my own, this has turned out to be the case although I am considering a "Mr Shifta" van mover to get me in and out of my own driveway. I intend to go somewhere relatively local first off and then cast my net further afield later when I have the confidence.

Hi welcome....., I use to have a Puck a few years ago and we bought a Mr Shifta. Unfortunately we found that it didn't work on our slight paved gradient. All that happened was that the wheels spun round, they are also difficult on gravel it could be due to the Pucks light nose weight?
If you do buy one to try get a second hand one, you will get your money back as there is a strong market for them. Have a search on the website some members have used a fixed winch to drag their van on and off their drive....

When I go on holiday I like to pop my top!

Hello and welcome.
Am also looking for a puck. And have looked at a Mr shifta as i have a driveway to get it on too. But may not work as it slightly uphill.

Still looking for a good puck

Many of us were new to caravanning when we got our Eribas. You're in good company, ask away, we have been there and done that (some of us are still doing it)

Kathy and Martin Puck L We have no mover, but have also heard that the "Mr Shifta" mover is not good with a light nose weight :(

Have heard that some stand in the front frame - if that's possible whilst you turn the crank !

Hi Dovecott. Have had my Puck for almost six and a half years. Must admit that I get by without a motor mover, but an old skipping rope around the hitch works fine for me. 90% of the time, I manage my caravan alone. Love the little Puck. Have a Khyam Motordome tourer awning, which is also easy to erect on your own.

Hi there,

We too have a Mr Shifta and a slightly uphill drive, we have found that Mr S pushes better than he pulls and with a good noseweight onboard you shouldn't have any trouble

I'm just trying to be helpful here, it might be worth printing this off if you have this type of stabiliser fitted,
