Having a caravan is a luxury in comparison to a tent (in my view)........you can pitch up for one night and be off again next day without difficulty ...it takes minutes not hours to set up and and be off...it's cosy, the bed is warm and comfortable, there's a loo (for us), no flies, it's cool in summer and warm in winter....no condensation to speak of....but......it does cost more and you have to drive more slowly....enjoy your Eriba...you have definitely made the correct decision

There are times when Mark and me feel really greedy having both the Nova and our beloved Eriba especially as time away is limited due to Marks work. We justify this to ourselves by thinking that if we were to book a cottage as we usually do each May to take our grandkids away the cost would be 800.00 for one week. This summer we booked 2 pitches and used both doo-dah and the nova for a fraction of this cost. We can't take our money with us when we go to the great campsite in the sky so we have the things now that we couldn't afford when our kids were little and enjoy everything we have.

"Oh no this isn't the thread I want to read having just ordered an Eriba"

Same here, we went to the NEC campervan show last October but were astounded by the lack of room, facilities and price, etc. Twenty feet away we saw these quirky looking caravans and compared to the campervans, they are enormous and with much better facilities in every respect.

Bottom line, will be getting a troll 530 hopefully this coming week and with the help and advice received here so far, I can't go wrong, and if it does,....so what.
