Greasing Points

I'm given to believe that the two points marked on the attached screenshot are greasing points, that these buttons simply pull out and that the required/correct grease to use is one that meets the standard of DIN 51825 KTA 3K.

Could some kind soul with knowledge in these things please confirm that these two red buttons do in fact simply pull up and out and that underneath are to be found standard nipple points to which most, if not all, grease guns will connect to? It would also be extremely useful if you explain exactly what is being lubricated here with the aid of a picture if possible.

They are just dust covers, as you say you just pull them off and attach your grease gun nozzle. It is the sliding actuator shaft and it's housing that is being lubricated imho, others might call it something else! To be honest these things are a bit like Military vehicles in that they are "over serviced and seldom used" the actuator does work all of the time whether extending or contracting (it actually stays the same length but just slides in and out) but given that most people will do less than 5000 miles a year towing and the shafts are meant to last a lifetime, you'll understand what I mean
