Leisure Battery

Hello,

Like last winter, tomorrow I will disconnect my leisure battery and bring it indoors (probably get a trickle charger). Before I remove it, are there any switches I should touch (apart from the main 12v switch on the wardrobe, is there anything else in the wardrobe with all the electrics)? This year I have the motor mover too, so that cable is also attached to the battery terminals.

Thanks.

Hi Philip

Don't have a battery in mine but there are some useful pdf help sheets here

http://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/helpandadvice/technicalhelp/datasheets/

the ones

"36 Battery Charging - October 2015" at the top
and
"Winter care for your caravan" 4th from bottom.

Will be useful to you and all are easy to download (right click and select save as or whatever)

Lots of useful leaflets there for anyone to download

Personally I leave my battery attached, its' probably colder in my garage than in my Eriba, about once a month I will connect the EHU and charge the battery for a couple of days using the inbuilt charger. .....

Unfortunately, we leave ours on a local storage site.

Thanks Hob, a mine of information there - the battery is now under the stairs at home and I will buy a trickle charger to keep it topped up (and a volt meter too).
