The carnivores in our house had beef wellington....1st time I've made one....they liked it....we had a selection of veggie mains...nut roast, chestnut and red wine pate en croute and a festive ring made from nuts, cheese, and cranberries covered with with strips of pastry.....followed by home made Christmas pud and brandy butter and mincemeat meringue pie......washed down with Cava to start then red or white Rioja and sweet Garnacha for the pud.
