Maybe a lot of blah blah but a two page article in today's Sunday Times on the quality of TV sound (Happy Valley, Jamaica Inn to the fore). There are untold techy reasons, opposite views, blame the TV set, buy a lot of expensive gear abd it seems the whole team of producers, writers, actors and post production are at odds with each other.
Quite a salient point is that the writers and producers know the script and therefore don't understand the complaints.

An interesting article which details all the excuses. The conclusions are a cop out though.......buy a surround sound 5:1 sound system or turn on the subtitles!
