unfortunately the computer decided to update with the above update
shall be sorting that out...

the update knocked out my choosen security programme,
left the windows defender off!!!
the windows icon after closing and restarting
then wouldn't allow to switch users
its taken me all afternoon!!!!!!!! to find the place to delete the update, which once deleted, the computer returned to perfect working order..
if this happens to you, type in the search ' windows update settings'
eventually you find the place
then look down the list for the days date and select which you think it is.

also found out that the computer was sending, yes sending the updates to other computers at my cost
so have gone into settings windows update, advanced options, choose how updates are delivered.

this has confirmed why it is important to keep backing computer up..

hope this helps someone, if hadn't have found would of had to spend pennies on someone to fix it

For future reference always turn off your anti virus program before updating if there is a problem you can revert to before the update this way.

In control panel find and click on recovery

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Recovery

click on open system restore tick the box "show more restore points" choose one before it went wrong and go ahead with the restore this will revert the system back to how it was.

despite deleting this update the computer has downloaded it again and wanting to install, considering what happened last time, how can I stop it??

managed to down load the link in yahoo article and its stopped that update by hiding it but it does not down load the group thing, half way there, although feel completely out of depth..
