Steady Pads / Nose Weight / MRO - Mass Running Order

Hi all, I thought I'd kill three birds with one stone so to speak Using your help and experience again, I would appreciate your assistance with the following.
A) I recently bought a set of Steady Pads from Aldi and wondered if they are permanently left fitted in place, What do you do?
B) My Kuga manual states that the Max Permissible Trailer Vertical Weight must not exceed 100kg. I'm assuming that is the nose weight. My 2015 Eriba Troll 530 states that the caravan nose weight must not exceed 100kg also, but Iv'e seen several forum posts where the nose weight mentioned is 70kg. I would certainly appreciate your input on this.
C) Eriba Mass Running Order. I believe this is the weight of the caravan with fitted stuff like fridges, gas bottles, spare wheel etc, but does not include personal stuff like bedding, food, clothes, or water, which must be added to the Mass Running Order MRO the total of which mustn't exceed the MTPLM of 1300kg.
Have I got that right ? also, where would I find the unladen weight of my Eriba or do I have to visit a public weighbridge which I understand may not be accurate because of the large number of heavy commercial vehicles being weighed daily.
Again, your help and advice much appreciated.

Can't help with that, never use them normally carry wood blocks to spread the weight.

There may be a 3rd weight to consider, on the actual tow ball though they are often not tagged.
The aim with nose weight is to get somewhere near the max of the lowest figure without exceeding any of them, in my head I have a min figure of 25Kg (not sure but that may be a legal minimum)
Data sheet 21 gives some insite here

Because some models are available with uprated axles the best place to look for this is in your manual if you one with the van.
you will find a plate on the outside of the van near the door but if its like mine it just shows the axle limit and the rest is blank ........... in my case its 1000Kg max laden and I have a figure of 780 Kg for my unloaded weight.
I used to run a weighbridge where I worked and if I remember correctly they were + or - about 40 Kg when working correctly and should be recalibrated annually.
Pictures showing caravan plate.

Nose Weight
My Eriba manual says the nose weight of the caravan should not exceed 100kg. I had a Witter towbar with detachable ball and having just spoken to the guy who installed he says the max nose weight for that towbar is 75kg. The handbook for my car says the nose weight of the caravan should not exceed 70kg.
So forme the max nose weight of the caravan shouls not exceed 70kg. I actually find that a nose weight of 60kg +/- 5kg is fine. The car ride when towing with a 65kg nose weight is more comfortable than at the lower nose weight. But I'm just a novice, compared to most people on the forum, at towing a caravan.
My Eriba manual also says 'The optimal nose weight is simultaneously the maximum possible nose weight'. So for me that means 70kg - the maximum nose weight specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

STEADY PADS - Always leave mine on the 'van , never lost one or had problems - not Aldi ones so I don't know how secure these are - mine are fitted with just one pin pushed through the foot.
VERTICAL WEIGHT - I understand this to have the same meaning as 'nose weight' !
ERIBA MRO - My Puck L is plated at a lowly 750kg - so any heavy stuff goes in the car ! I suspect the best practical way to check weight is at a weigh bridge, subject to the tolerances mentioned by Hob.

Hi all, apologies for the delay but I was in the middle of decorating. Many thanks for the photo and web site. Still not quite sure as the info between the Eriba / car / and web, seem to differ a bit. I guess that so long as you don't exceed the maximum towing weight, get a balanced nose weight with the heavy stuff centrally on the floor, plus some common sense should do it.
@ Ribski, the Aldi pads sound very similar to yours with a single plastic pin pushed through the foot, so I'll make sure and fit a cotter pin to retain them and leave them on the van.
Thank you all for the info and time.
