Hi all
2016-04-27 19.30.04.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte) We recently took on a year 2000 Puck. It fits in the garage now I've taken the doors and transom off.
The reason I discovered them is simply because it is the only non-teardrop caravan that will fit down the side of our house, but then I discovered what an unrecognised classic it is, having been designed to match the VW Camper, but with a much longer road life.
I bought it from retro-eriba in Hull as they aren't too far from us and one became available. I was amazed just how few there are. I have spent time trawling the French Eriba forums looking for instructions for the Soplair awning, and one of them has an excel spreadsheet of all the serial no's of their members' Pucks (ours was made in France too), and it was only a couple of hundred or so a year.
The only repair I have had to do is replace the water pump, which meant having to learn completely how caravan electrics work so I could trace the fault, so it's all good. I have ordered some new water tube too as it seems odd to use someone else's.
We (I mean my OH) are going to make some new seat covers to protect the original ones, and I have bought some interlocking foam squares to make a cosy floor for the awning. I also bought some genuine National garages Smurf window stickers off ebay as they remind me the ones I put in my parents' caravan in the 70's. Anyone remember them?
We're taking it to the Peak District for its first weekend away next week, On our day trips to the NY Moors we have had many admiring glances.
