Well, it just sort of happened. We went back to look over the Puck Ls in more detail and found that on the later models they did something funny with the heights as my head was banging on lockers and pelmets over the seat/beds - not clever.
Then I saw a 410 and had a look through the window (it was sold) and realised that was exactly the layout we wanted. It may be the influence of having had a side kitchen in our MH, but there's just so much more room either side so that at least we can cook and wash up together. The small front berth/lounge will be ideal for day hab and we may even be able to avoid having to tear down the beds every day!!!
AL do a neat mod to trim the free standing table and turn it into a clip mount so that it is much lighter and can just be parked outside under the awning for al-tesco living.
We managed to convince ourselves that a new one would be a good move - it's a forever van and selling the MH means we're just recycling the money - and recycling is good isn't it???? Oh alright it's as good an excuse as any other..........
The standard options pack just to get what you'd normally expect is a bit of a shock
We decided we prefer the bobbly white finish to the shiny shiny white - looks a bit like Hammerite doesn't it?.
Bad news is - early 2017ish delivery - oh well, they say the best things are worth waiting for

The 410 doesn't have a washroom. For that you need either a 420 with the longitudinal beds or the 430 with transverse beds and front dinette.
I think the toilet decision is crucial. We wouldn't be without ours while some people prefer to do without.
You pays your money etc.

The toilet is indeed a crucial item and everyone has their own take on the matter. I think that Eriba have missed a trick here on the 410 in that they could have followed some of the VW converters by having a small cassette toilet under/inside a fold out cupboard/cover system. This would avoid the loss of top level space of the full time washroom, and still provide a bit of work top when not in use. As it is we'll find a home for a porta-thingy as it's a good trade off for the side kitchen. Admittedly we're site bunnies but if we were more into wild camping then for sure the little room would be essential.

We got a brand new 410 last Aug, it suits us perfectly as we tend to only go to good sites with good toilets.
It is the only option for us anyway as I'm 6'7" so need the bigger bed and we also want a front seat area. We don't have the space for a troll or a big enough car to tow it.
Great choice, love our Eddie

We are on our third Eriba since 2004. The first was a Triton 430 which has side kitchen front rear dinette and toilet/washroom. We liked the layout but the only negative was that we slept widthways which meant one climbing over the other if needing the facilities at night.
After a while we decided to look for a Triton 420 which was a popular choice at the time for couples in that it had long beds and end kitchen which gave extra space.
We sold the 430 and purchased a 420 which for a while was OK but we soon realised we missed the front dinette so when the beds were made up we had nowhere to sit for nightcaps.
Solution was what we have now Troll 540 which gives us best of both worlds double dinette and long beds, side kitchen. Bigger van but not a problem to tow.
You sometimes need to shop around to find the ideal option.
