Southern heatwave

Weather man was forecasting a heatwave for the south of the UK over the next few days, he was not kidding.

While I was away last week I sat outside the van a lot both in the daytime and in the evening, and wondered why I never do so at home?

Well today with overcast conditions the temp was 28 deg C both inside and outside but at least there was a bit of a breeze outside so me and bear moved into the garden with the test match to listen to on the little radio and a cold drink from the fridge.

This little chap loves the heat and so lives on the top shelf in the greenhouse its only the second time i have seen it open a flower in nearly 10 years

Found 2 more lanterns in the garage

Now 10.00 pm and still 22 deg C outside and 26.5 deg C inside the house, im not one for really hot weather so probably spend more time in the garden over the next few days and hope it don't last too long

Well you are right hob it is most certainly warm, maybe summer has arrived. It would be lovely if it lasted to the Summer Meet in about a fortnight now , you can only prey and hope.

The warm weather has finally reached Bury and I'm loving it. I know I'm being greedy but if it could be like this next week when we will be in Wales with our grandkids we would be delighted, fingers well and truly crossed.

Just back from Perranporth (22 miles from home) having seen Billy Ocean at the Watering Hole ! . This week temp expected to average 23-25dec C sounds good to me

Just back from showing my paintings in B/mouth over 8 days alone in the PuckL and now too tired and hot to do any more than sit in a shaded studio and catchup on stuff.

Oooh! by the way, I have been approached by the admin of the C&CC magazine to interview me after I sent in a couple of my Eriba sketches. Fame at last.

It's a tad warmer down here on the Med. And we're not the warmest place in France! Still the mountains are only two hours away and there is still snow up there.
