Awful situation, glad you made it OK in the end.

Don't forget that "calls are recorded for quality and training purposes". If the original call about cover for the van was recent then they should have it - ask them to provide a copy............that normally focusses the attention.

Hi,

Yes this is the same as my connector.

This tale harks back to family caravanning in the sixties, my Dad was very forgetful about the electric connection plug having
unhitched, I remember we once spent two days re wiring the plug without any instructions, the permutations were innumerable and we would get it all wired up and one light would n't work, over and over again. It was a very salutary lesson to me.
I now go through a litany in my head, hand break off, mover wound in, jockey wheel up, lx plugged in, check the lights, (fridge door and caravan door locked) gas turned off, spectacles , testicles, and when abroad ,drive on the right if you don't want sh*** etc etc etc.

Highmiler.

Well an update, Aviva said when I phone with my complaint they have policy in customer Care for addressing complaints within 5 days. My 5 days was up last night (if going on working days). So this weekend was my letter to go to complaints and to follow it through. Guess what they call their 5 days to address complaints, it's a letter of acknowledgement of my complaint, and was sent to me today dated yesterday, informing me of my complaint and they are investigating and will address this in 21 days. and informing me of my rights should their outcome be unsatisfactory after investigation.

I had thought they were a reputable company BUT from my experience they are as bad as most that you hear about insurers.
