HI, someone here posted a link to a wiring diagram for the 13 pins socket to be replaced. I have searched but can't seem to find it and have bought a replacement that states its a 13 Pin Euro 12v plug.

I have bought one to replace my battered one but all the diagrams on the web I find have the centre number sequence have 2 and 4 on opposite sides to the diagrams.

Any chance someone can point me in the direction please.

If the old one is still together enough you can draw a diagram of where the wires go before you take it off then wire up the new one the same.

Some of the wires are dual coloured so mark them white\black for example

Thanks both for the replies. I think the diagram you have referenced is looking at it from the spikes that connect in which case my plug is correct. I was looking at the plug from the rear of feeding the cables in and the numbers on the plastic were opposite. BUT of I turn it to the locating spikes then they are the correct way around.

The reason I drew a picture was the diagrams show 4 pins in the middle and my plug only had 3 connectors in the middle, I have since worked out that the one lining up with the little cut out is the 4th one.

I'd be tempted to take a photo of the wires and placement before rewiring, mobile phone? Camera? Just a thought, and don't be daunted the rewire is easy enough and I'm the Worlds worst diyer

when inspecting the purchase I thought oops I only have three in the centre but could see that the three middle and then one below, just like hobbs plug. I am quite competent with electrical wiring things (only take on things that I know are safe to do) but I have taken apart a Gaggia espresso machine (took photos of that) spaghetti has nothing on the bunch of wires in there. Replaced the solenoid valve and gasket and then reassembled it with lots of pics before hand to follow. brought it back from its demise for a year but now another part needs replacing.
