Looks like normal French driving to me Brian

This is the one that perplexes me:-

We've nearly been swiped on several occasions, in all areas of the country. And the French drivers, mostly youngish, are adamant that they have priority.

All you have to do is remember that the French drive on the wrong side of the road and should you momentarily forget that, resulting in an incident, you can remind the French authorities of that fact and that also that the steering wheels are on the wrong side in their cars and it is, therefor, little wonder that there are accidents.

One of the funniest signs in France when you take into account that the road is a dead end and is therefore only accessible from back the way you came is Cap Gris Nez.

Once you've driven at least the 20 or so miles from Calais on the wrong side of the road, stopped and had a look around, the road back out has a warning sign to Drive on the right.
