Hello everyone on this bright and sunny day in Lincolnshire.
It's good to be alive and also to be retired and able to enjoy it !

We(me and swmbo) are all excited because we are about to enter the world of the Eriba....having previously only stepped inside once !

Our adventure will be in a 1997(still an adolescent) Eriba 530GT and we shall be picking it up later this week.

Have been enjoying, as a guest, reading forum postings and hope to continue and to add my two penneth...mind my wife says it's more likely half a crown

If I could take the liberty of asking a little advice ...please

I will need a motor mover and there is a Carver one that is quite new come up locally. Should I consider this ?
As a hobby I work on classic cars so am quite handy.

Again a BIG HELLO to all

Hi! The problem with Eribas is that you need special fixing brackets to attach a mover as they can't fit directly onto the chassis. I think that not all movers are suitble for this so it would be wise to check it before buying it.

Hi and welcome to Eribafolk. Not having owned a mover I'm no expert but as Pudelwagen says, fitting a mover to an Eriba touring van is not straightforward and additional brackets are required so beware what you buy.

I have the same model as you, and had a Reich mover , leisure battery and Ctek charger fitted by Midland Movers in Walsall. They did it while I waited and with the the Ctek charger you just leave the EHU plugged in all the time you are parked up and it keeps the battery charged up, never missed a beat in two years.
This is the mover recommended by AL and most often seen on Eriba's.You may have problems with clearance on any mover, check out if it will fit.

Thanks to all for the welcome and especially for the helpful advice on the motor mover.
I think from the advice I shall go for the Reich and will check out with a specialist .....although I do like a challenge
especially a mechanical one !

One other thing ..Who is AL?
