advice needed with moisture

Hi
Bought a Eriba Puck L from 2002. It looked ok, but now i find moisture problems. Behind the Fridge and some spots in the floor. Below the right front light, below the fridge, below the doorframe. Parts of the floor have deteriorated. See pictures

I intend to remove the bad parts, use wood hardener, impregnate the wood and rusty metal and paint the metal with Hammerite. Any other suggestions?

To remove the source of the problems I intend to renew the caulking on various parts of the Puck.

Between the floor and the metalframe there is a white-grey cauking, it closes partly the gap between the metal and the floor. Is this correct?

Am I on the right track?

thanks

John

Never had these problems John - thankfully. You seem to be on the right track but I am not a practical person, so best of luck.

Hi John.

There are a number of people on here who are more au-fait with the floor and perimeter framework of an Eriba than I am but it does look as though your Puck L has had a bit of a life especially as it's a 2002 van.

Did you buy it privately or from a dealers?

Firstly, I'm not sure what the round tubes shown in photo 1 and photo 3 are. I'm sure I've not seen them under my Troll

As for the floor, it looks like someone has painted it with silver paint which will hold moisture in. I seem to remember someone on here advising not to paint the wooden floor.

Hi Randa,
The round tubes are the wires for the lights and the silver paint is caulking. I Think this caulking is one of the reasons of our Pucks troubles; it prevents water from draining. It's good to hear this silver stuff is not original.
And i bought it privatly
