I joined up with the Caravan Club this weekend and did it online.

Anyway in the host of questions that are asked details are required as to the caravan, model and year.

I filled in Eriba and then Troll, but when I got to the year 1997 was n't listed. Only 96 or 98 etc.

So was my Eriba wrongly advertised when I bought it ?

Were no Trolls made in 97 ?

Can anyone help please ?

There probably were 100's made but where the CC might be getting their nickers in a twist is because around 1996 and again 1998 there were a few design changes, 1996'ish saw a colour scheme change and 1998'ish saw the introduction of the split front window and integral gas locker.

Thanks Randa,

The details you provided 'introduction of the split front window and integral gas locker' caused me(or rather I was instructed by Anne)to examine the paperwork that came with the Eriba and low and behold is a welcoming letter from Lechlade stating it is a 1998 !

The young chap I bought the van from was not the most knowledgable on quite a few aspects and had only had the use for one year.
Having said that he and his wife and children were a delight and I have no qualms about my purchase. 530 Gt.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)

Looking at your pic. your Eriba is the same as our '99 Troll ie. split screen and integral gas box.

Compare that to Keith F's 1997 Troll with single screen and projecting gas box :- g65p804-SAM.html

Thanks again Randa That confirms it is definitely post 97.

I'm looking forward to meeting up with other Eribas and their owners and checking out the differences (vans that is).

The other thing I've noticed and I cannot see on other vans is that my 'A' Frame (or bar as it is) is denuded of all covers ?

We re-joined in October and have a 2006 Troll 540. When entering details we had similar situation in they had 2005, 2007 and 2008 etc but no 2006.
So now according to CC we own a 2007 Troll
